We'd sorted the tickets well before the holiday and didn't have any problems using them. Magic Kingdom was just as our eight-year-old had imagined. She stopped in her tracks when she first saw the castle, and it was lovely to watch.

Discovery Cove felt like a relaxing resort day, perfect for slowing down.

Even without the dolphin swim, there was more than enough to fill the day. The reef was excellent, our youngest gained confidence in the water, and it felt like good value for the day we wanted.

Booking was straightforward too. Islands of Adventure surprised us by beating Universal Studios. Hagrid's was the family favourite, with Spider Man close behind.

Knowing very little about Star Wars, I wasn't sure what I'd make of Rise of the Resistance, but it was better than I expected. Our son, on the other hand, was completely speechless afterwards. Such a great family moment.

Animal Kingdom was the biggest surprise for us out of all the Disney parks. Flight of Passage was excellent, and the safari made a nice break from the rides. Just be aware it deserves plenty of time, as we were glad we allowed a full day.

We got in easily using our tickets. At Hollywood Studios, my husband finally got to see Galaxy's Edge, which was the part he had been most excited about, and it absolutely lived up to his expectations. The rest of us preferred other areas.

Although the dolphin part was over quite quickly, there was still plenty for us to do during the rest of the day. I would not book it just for those few minutes, but taken as a full day out, we all agreed that it was worthwhile.
