Epic Universe is sold both as a single day ticket and combined with the other Universal parks. If Epic Universe is the only reason you are going to Universal, the standalone ticket is the simpler buy. If you are visiting Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure anyway, a combined ticket is usually better value than buying the days separately.

A single day suits visitors adding Epic Universe to a wider Orlando trip that is mostly about other parks, and anyone who has already seen the original Universal parks on a previous visit.
Who should buy more days
If this is a first visit to Universal Orlando, one day at Epic Universe plus at least one more day elsewhere is the realistic minimum. If the Wizarding World matters to you, note that it is split across the two original parks, which is a park to park decision rather than an Epic Universe one.

What an Epic Universe ticket does not include
Universal Orlando tickets do not include Universal Express Pass, parking, food, or separately ticketed events such as Halloween Horror Nights.
