Dark Universe was probably my favourite
The tickets were already on my phone, so we got straight in without any fuss. I'd say Dark Universe was probably my favourite part of Epic Universe, especially as it looked completely different when the light began to fade. Our teenagers preferred Stardust Racers.

A pleasant surprise
Epic Universe gave us one of the strongest days of our holiday. Isle of Berk was a real surprise, as I had assumed it would mainly suit younger children, but we all enjoyed it and the area looked fantastic. It was busy, though.

Stardust Racers was much faster than I expected and easily the best coaster of our Epic Universe day. My wife preferred Dark Universe.

Hagrid's was initially down, which was disappointing, but it reopened later. We got on and it was worth the wait.

Disney had enough variety to keep both our sons happy. Our nine-year-old loved Toy Story Land, while our thirteen-year-old only wanted Guardians and TRON. The only difficulty was finding rides they both liked, which was not always easy.

I'd definitely save Discovery Cove for the middle of an Orlando itinerary, not the start. After several exhausting park days, we appreciated it so much more. The slower pace was exactly what everyone needed by then.

Our first Magic Kingdom day was all about chasing rides, but the second was much better because we simply enjoyed the park. With tired children, less planning really can be more.
